Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join one of the leading international telecom Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) based in Cameroon. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development initiatives for our cutting-edge telecom solutions, including 5G technology and mobile core networks. Your primary objective will be to capture market share, build strong customer relationships, and effectively compete against key competitors such as Nokia Networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration for our telecom solutions in Cameroon.
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and engage potential customers, including telecom operators, ISPs, and enterprises, to promote our 5G and mobile core network solutions, showcasing their value proposition and competitive advantages.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, acting as their trusted advisor and main point of contact for all sales-related activities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Solution Selling: Effectively present and demonstrate our telecom solutions, highlighting their technical capabilities, performance benefits, and ROI to potential customers.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare customized proposals and quotations, collaborating with internal technical teams to ensure accurate and technically feasible solutions.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and finalize agreements with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Generate accurate sales forecasts, track sales activities, and provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to ensure successful solution implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the telecom industry, particularly in 5G technology and mobile core networks, to effectively position our solutions in the market.

Qualification:

  • Proven track record as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales role within the telecom industry, preferably working with telecom OEMs or equipment providers, in Western Africa  market
  • Strong understanding of telecom solutions, including 5G technology, mobile core networks, and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape, including key competitors like Nokia Networks, and the ability to differentiate our solutions effectively.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
  • Sound knowledge of telecom market dynamics, customer needs, and regulatory environment in Cameroon.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a customer-centric approach to business.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English and French is essential for effective communication with customers and stakeholders in Cameroon.
