Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FTTx Construction Manager to join our team. As an FTTx Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the control, coordination, and project management of fiber optic infrastructure projects, with a focus on FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) expansion. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, including contract awarding, construction supervision, billing, documentation, and interface management with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in FTTH project standards, IT systems, and knowledge of Austrian regulations are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Control and Coordination: Oversee and coordinate FTTx fiber optic infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Contract Management: Manage the contract awarding process, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and overseeing contractual obligations with external vendors and contractors.
  • Construction Supervision: Conduct on-site supervision of construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Billing and Documentation: Manage project billing and invoicing processes, maintain accurate project documentation, and ensure timely submission of project reports.
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and execute project plans, including implementation planning, route finding, and route planning for fiber optic networks.
  • Measurement and Testing: Carry out and interpret final measurements and measurement results, ensuring the quality and performance of the fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Internal and External Coordination: Coordinate project activities with internal departments and external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cost Management: Prepare project cost estimates, monitor project costs, conduct post-costing analysis, and ensure project profitability.
  • Tender Preparation: Prepare project tenders, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and documentation requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes, monitor project deliverables, and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Interface Management: Serve as the primary interface with clients, authorities, and the internal purchasing department, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange and addressing any project-related concerns.
  • Participation in Meetings: Participate in project and construction meetings, providing updates, resolving issues, and supporting decision-making processes.

Requirement:

  • Proven experience in fiber optic expansion of FTTH ODN (Fiber-to-the-Home Optical Distribution Network) in Austria.
  • Strong knowledge of FTTH project standards and IT systems, including ZTV TK Netz, ZTV STB, and QGIS.
    Several years of professional experience in the planning of civil engineering projects, preferably in the field of fiber optic structures and locations.
  • Certificate in road construction (e.g., road construction master) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CAD software with basic knowledge applicable to construction projects.
  • Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Valid Austrian driving license.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and cost control.
    Attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and ensure compliance.
    Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
